Used in pre-writing times, these heavily symbolic images / cards, were used to help teach the spiritual paths of the “Tree of Life”.

These acrylic painting's visual elements: such as: rose; dog; wolf etc. all have specific meaning and may be deciphered into a story about life.
Even if you don’t actually know this language of images, the overall message can be innately felt, due to the archetypal symbolism.
My many years of work with these cards allow me to discover a use of acrylics that is “soft” and pleasing on canvas; and more geometric and “hard” on papered wood.
Experiments into what I call sculptural painting, use acrylic on canvas and paper for the sculptures.
