"Friendship" depicted in Acrylic and Metal Leaf paintings celebrates the unique and sacred phenomena manifested when two individuals connect via the soul...

When I first began these paintings, they were and merely an exercise for myself in line, to see what might happen if I didn’t think; just drew fast. I began with a couple of lines, these became a face. Soon I realized I was drawing two faces! Once I added color, still without thought, I recognized they were peoples of different cultures and races; showing expressions of life’s various circumstances. The faces had been revealing to me, who they were as I went along.

After I’d finished the paintings, looking at the people within them, I realized to my surprise: They loved each other!

I feel that these paintings came to me to express the idea of Friendship, that we as peoples can be united, friends, accepting our differences embracing our similarities; and recognizing, we are all one, each divine.

It is my personal belief that all consciousness is divine: therefore each individual wears a halo.
